Remixed Character
What I learned in this lesson is how to really take two completely different characters, and just make a totally new creation out of it. I felt like I was successful in doing this as my end product was mixed in such a way that it didn't look too awkward, nor did it end up at the point of being completely unable to have two recognizable characters. If I were to do this piece over, I'd definitely make it larger. I felt that the piece was too small, and that sort of cut back on my ability to add detail.
Watercolor Practice
For this mini lesson, I learned about how to properly apply and add value using watercolors. I feel like I did well on this piece with all of the placement of the color, and choosing the correct ones. However, I feel like I could definitely work on adding more value and contour to my piece. You couldn't properly see where the lighter and darker areas where.
Black-out Poems
In this mini lesson, I learned the basics of properly "stealing art" and making it unique. I think I did pretty good on this considering my original page was about the history of dictionaries. I feel like I created something newer and funnier out of a boring non fiction text. If I could work on anything, I'd make the dark lines look a little bit neater.
